Links for Alcoholism

Al-Anon - Alateen

AL-ANON (and ALATEEN for younger members) is a worldwide organization that offers a self-help recovery program for families and friends of alcoholics whether or not the alcoholic seeks help or even recognizes the existence of a drinking problem. Members give and receive comfort and understanding through a mutual exchange of experiences, strength and hope. Sharing of similar problems binds individuals and groups together in a bond that is protected by a policy of anonymity." A must visit site for anyone doing research on alcoholism. This site gets a 9, but don't miss it. Thanks to Don R. of this organization for helping me keep this link currrent.

 Web of Addictions

Good site for any type of addiction problems, including alcohol. Go to this page in Web of Addictions, and scroll down the page to get to facts about alcohol.

National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence

Provides education, information, help and hope in the fight against chronic, often fatal disease of alcoholism and other drug addictions.

You're going to like this site. Very in depth!

Site suggested by Jules Sowder, webmaster of the site. It has tons of great info, but it's on every pages, which I personally find annoying. That having been said, you will find the answers to your questions about alcoholism at this website.
